Whatev.org (WdO) was created in the year 2000--The First Year of the new century & millenium, or The Final Year of the preceding one (in accordance with Western timekeeping). Its had its origins in Florida-- however, traditional notions of place & beginnings have come to have little meaning in the modern realm of the Internet.
It has been at one time based out of each of the following cities & neighborhoods : Lake View / Wrigleyville, Williamsburg, DowntownOrlando, Silver Lake, Amsterdam, North Portland, Summerland, Tallahassee, and Venice. Its existence has taken many forms throughout the last ten years. To observe this tenth year of life, we are restoring its presence as a website and hub. Its chief purpose is cultural observance & ethnography. It is not done for much profit. We will have a shirt onsale again shortly. We hope that you enjoy Whatev.org. - WdO -
